Q: What can I expect from the cars? A: All of our cars will be clean, spacious and air conditioned. We strive to satisfy our customers so in some of our cars you will even find magazines! For airport journeys you can rest assured our cars will be large enough to meet your needs, whether you need ample boot space or ample children space, we can fit your needs. Just call Kim for a quote or to discuss your needs!
Q: Can I have a lady driver? A: Yes of course, we have many lady drivers and you can request one when booking.
Q: Are you private hire or Hackney carriage? And what is the difference? A: We are Private hire licenced vehicles.
Hackney carriage taxis can be hailed in the street or from a taxi rank. They display a white licence plate at the rear of the vehicle.
Private hire vehicles, must be pre-booked - either by phone or email. They will display a yellow plate at the rear of the vehicle.
By licencing ourselves as Private Hire vehicles we can insure your journey is booked in and we will always be there on time. Where as with Hackney Carriages you have to wait for one to go past to hail it!
Q: How are Fares calculated?
A: Fares are calculated by Dacorum Borough Council. We do not charge for waiting time in traffic. We believe this way it is farer to our customers and prices once quoted will not be subject to change. This way the customer knows how much they have to pay and can have the money ready for the driver at the end of the journey.
Q: What is the quickest way to contact you? A: Usually calling by phone is quickest as you can talk to someone there and then, though email could be just as fast, depending on whether Kim is at her desk or not! We always try to respond as quickly as possible and being a smaller firm, we always will.
Q: Is there a charge per person? A: No, we charge per vehicle.
Q: Can I use my Dacorum Travel Vouchers? A: Yes, for any journey starting or finishing within Dacorum. Though you should quote this when booking.
Q: How many people can a taxi carry? A: This depends on the vehicle, you should phone Kim for the different options for your journey, we have all different capacities, from estate cars to people carriers.
Q: Do your drivers speak English? A: Yes, all of our drivers are fluent in English!
Q: Can I arrange for daily pick ups? A: Yes certainly though I would definately consider opening up a personal account!
Q: Are your cars suitable to pick up VIPs for business meetings? A: Yes, all of our cars are cleaned to the highest standards, the inside will be impeccable and you should find your VIP will be very comfortable and relaxed in our high quality cars.

Q: Can I smoke in your taxis? A: No, the law states you must not smoke in any of our taxis...or anyone elses for that matter!
Q: What if my flight is delayed? A: Our drivers will check the up-to-date live flight information regularly, so even if you arrive early our drivers will be waiting! If you are still worried you could ring and confirm this with us, or send a text if that is too expensive!
Q: I'm flying today, which terminal will my driver drop me at? A: Your driver will drop you at the correct terminal for your flight, that is why we need your flight details when you book!
Q: How far could you take me? A: That all depends on where you are going! If you phoned Kim for a chat you would be able to discuss your options.
Q: Are there any hidden extras? A: No definately not! As long as you tell us all of the details of your journey we will quote accordingly.
Q: My luggage is very heavy...could you help me? A: Yes of course!! Our drivers would not let you struggle!
Q: What should I do if I leave something in the taxi? A: You should phone up Kim and report it missing as soon as possible, the driver can then check the vehicle before the next passenger and keep it safe.
Q: Which areas do you cover? A: We do not cover a certain area, where ever you would like to go, we will take you! Just call Kim to discuss this.
Q: I am interested in becoming a KimsKars driver/I think I have a car that would be useful to KimsKars? A: It would be a good idea to talk to Kim personally about this!
